A teen on a day hike along Bright Angel Trail collapsed below Havasupai Gardens on Wednesday afternoon. Park rangers and a helicopter rescue team responded, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are investigating with the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office.
