A 12-year-old South Carolina girl was rescued from an Arkansas home after authorities traced a vehicle allegedly used to take her across state lines. According to an arrest affidavit, the girl said she had met the couple online and believed she was going to be in a relationship with a 15-year-old boy.
Police arrested Brandon Lee Britten, 31, and Sierra Dawn Britten, 28. Brandon faces charges including rape, internet stalking of a child and traveling for an unlawful sex act with a minor, while Sierra faces corresponding accomplice charges. Both are being held on $1 million bond, and the girl has been reunited with her parents. These remain charges and allegations rather than convictions.
