A bookkeeper, Ida Veronica Hernandez, 45, was sentenced to four years and four months in state prison for embezzling more than half a million dollars from a Thousand Oaks medical practice. The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office announced the verdict on Friday after Hernandez pled guilty to seven counts of embezzlement.
