State police say a driver struck a trooper with his car on the Bourne Bridge Thursday morning, then fled. He was arrested hours later at a home in East Falmouth after police surrounded it with a helicopter. Neighbors heard intense police commands. A woman inside said the suspect was calmly smoking a cigarette while cops yelled for him to come out.
