A Florida couple is facing felony child abuse charges after authorities said their 12-year-old adopted daughter was allegedly locked in her bedroom for years and subjected to severe neglect. According to an affidavit, investigators found the girl’s room locked from the outside and described conditions very different from other rooms in the home. The couple has pleaded not guilty.
