Man shot multiple times by gunman on scooter in South Shore

<p>A 45-year-old man was shot and critically injured by a man on a scooter in South Shore on Monday afternoon, Chicago police said.</p><p>The victim had been standing near the sidewalk along the 7800 block of South South Shore Drive at about 2:53 p.m. when the other man approached him on a scooter and fired multiple shots at him, police said. </p><p>The 45-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his body and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.</p><p>The victim was initially listed in critical condition, according to police. </p><p>Area Two detectives are investigating. Police said two persons of interest were brought in for questioning.</p>
